Commission FAQs
How is pricing determined for a custom piece?
Pricing is based on dimensions, complexity, and materials required. I will provide a quote after our initial consultation . Pricing paint for murals is simply passed along to you, no added fees. I only charge for my time, and any specialty needs like scaffolding. Custom art is slightly different. Small artworks I might do a flat charge, otherwise most all my art I charge by the hour.
What is the typical timeline for completion?
This can vary depending on scale and my schedule as being a mom is important to me.
Murals can take one day or multiple depending on the complexity. Custom artwork could take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks to finish varying on the medium.
What information should I share in my inquiry?
Tell me about your vision if you have one, desired dimensions, and preferred colors. This is the perfect time to share inspiration images or something you have to give me a baseline on. Reference photos or a shot of the space are always super helpful! Where it is going can sometimes play a role into how you want your art or mural to be.
How do revisions work during the process?
Murals are a bit of the exception here. I don't always render ahead, but I do like having a plan beforehand whether for myself or for you as the client.
Some clients may need a full visual ahead of time, Other's don't. I can do a digital rendering, but usually prefer a quick hand sketch rendering. For most other art, I include two to three rounds of edits at no cost depending on the work during the design and sketching phase.
I simply want to ensure we are aligned before the final creation begins if rendering is needed.
